About the PPP
How Profitable are the Products on your Shelf?
Do you really know how profitable products are that sit on your retail shelves and benches? Would you like to quickly compare how profitable one product is versus another?
Over the years we have found this to be a real challenge, not only for retailers, but for ourselves as well.
We decided we should come up with a simple computer programme that can help you compare one product with another.
Profitability is more than working out a gross profit. It is a relationship between gross profit stock turn, number of units in a given area and shrinkage.
The formulae, we have used, once you have put in some simple figures, calculates the true profit per given area and allows you to compare putting one product on the shelf versus another one.
As a Consultant, I am often recommending clients move their slow moving lines, but the first challenge is identifying which are your slow movers. This programme which we have called “Profitable Product Performance” (PPP) allows you to look at what lines are your real winners versus your slow movers.
This programme has been designed with me in mind. I can switch the computer on, navigate around the computer at a basic level, but do not ask me to do the complicated stuff.
This programme is easy to load and operate. If I can use it, I am confident that anyone can use it.
PPP has been designed to be a valuable tool for your business. It has been developed because of the needs in retailing today and we all need to know what is going on at shelf level.
